I started reading the comics after I had watched the show, and while they were quite similar, the show definitely takes some liberties, the same thing will happen, but maybe to a different character, or in a different timeline.
I stopped watching the show a long time ago, but I would still be interested in finishing the comics.
I definitely enjoyed the comic more than the show, the show was often slow, while the comics are fast paced and a really easy read.

There was less action in this Walking Dead, but I still enjoyed reading it. It was more relaxed and it read very well. Some passages have been very hard to read because I'm a person close to my emotions and some characters just doesn't care more about their emotions. Rick is terribly hard to follow. I start slowly to appreciate some character more than Rick and I find it a pity, because in the series I love him. He takes what it takes to keep his family living without thinking and I love this side of him.

The Safe-Zone storyline just isn't as interesting as I want it to be. Also. Andrea. LOOK AT YOUR LIFE, LOOK AT YOUR CHOICES. I miss Dale.

Rebuilding Alexandria again after the hoard attacked. Kirkman is starting to show the complexities of some of the characters in this Volume. Rick, Rosita, Andrea we are seeing all different sides of their personalities.

They’re becoming too comfortable, I’m just waiting for Negan to show up, then it’s going to hit the fan!

God, it's time for changing the illustrator, don't you think? It always bugged me, that the art is shit in this comic, but c'mon, this is pathetic. All the women look like men, the shading is crap, there's no background most of the times, it makes me really sad. Compared to other Image comics, this is by far the worst when it comes to the graphics, which is just sad, because the story is really good.
