This book is not for the faint hearted. It is NOT like butcher & blackbird with the exception that it is a story about two rival serial unalivers who happen to fall for each other. This book takes every gorey & graphic detail to the extreme. It is violent, gorey and detailed. The authors don't shy away from how depraved the characters are. The trigger warnings are real and you should definitely abide by them.

That being said, I think going into this book with the correct expectations is going to make or break your experience. If you are looking for some psychotic serial unalivers that are academic enemies & end up equally psychotic lovers, and enjoy the nitty gritty details of how they unalived their vics & got away with it, this is for you.

💀enemies to lovers
🖤 soulmates
💀 grumpy x sunshine
🖤 badass FMC
💀 serial killer romance

Who the eff knew serial killer romances would become my favorite thing!? It’s like horror, thrillers, and romance wrapped up into one. Wolfe & Weaver have seriously honed in on that genre and are DOMINATING it. This book was brilliantly written by this infamous duo.

Marrow is a rival serial killer romance. These two love to hate each other. For example, he pisses her off so she tases and sedates him to frame him for murder.

This book was too unbelievable. I loved every minute of it. If I didn’t believe Wolfe & Weaver weren’t two of my favorite authors before, I do now. Their content is so unique. Their characters are morally grey vigilantes who take on lovable golden retriever qualities. Who would have thought I’d say that about SERIAL KILLERS!?

The quick, witty banter is top notch in this book. If you loved the Darkly, Madly Duet, or Butcher & Blackbird, this novel is a great mix of both. Super spicy. A touch of horror. And a sprinkle of psychology. That’s also how I know Trisha had a hand in this book. She is an artist when it comes to the psychology of dark romances. Where Brynne shines is in the grumpy x sunshine banter, oh and her love for piercings.

Okay, shutting up now. Just go read this now!!!

NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED. HEED THE TRIGGER WARNINGS FROM THE AUTHORS.

I honest-to-God do not know how to rate this one. This book is on a whole new caliber for my reading genre.

"The unholy way in which I’m about to take her would make angels repent."

I feel like that should've been TW enough.

It's chilling. It does not aim to make you understand cold-blooded killers but it does give you lens to their activities. It's goosebumps-inducing. I was actually very afraid that the authors would try to make me sympathize with killers but no. This story truly is about villains, REAL COLD-BLOODED VILLAINS. Psychopats, if you will. Also, the way they think and their activities are disgusting, terrifying, and totally abhorrent.
