It was a good book. I read it a long time ago, so I don't remember a lot about it. But I still know that I liked it a lot. But in some ways it was a bit too difficult for a 12 y/o. So I would recommend it to young adults and adults, but not to children.

I loved the mini-series, and wanted to love the book, too. But there was just too much military jargon for this novice to WW2 military history, and not enough detail about the individual soldiers. I didn't really feel as if I learned anything more than what had been presented in the mini-series.

Can't fairly review this because war histories just aren't my thing, but it was very informative and relatively easy to read. I picked it up because I had so many questions while watching the miniseries and it gave a lot of really good background to what was going on. So, good for what it is but not my cup of tea.

This book was so wonderful. It really gave me an idea of what these men went through without being too graphic, i.e., gory. The last chapter of the book gave a followup on the survivors of Easy Company, which I really loved.

Powerful. I’m not much of a non-fiction reader, but these men’s stories should never be forgotten. Worth it. Read it. Now.
