Vaguely reminded me of The Cask of Amontillado where the ringleader allows their victim to feel safe and ok until the very end when it’s too late to turn back. This was a rollercoaster - started out slow and sad until a card pops up in Camille’s life offering a support she never thought she’d welcome until she’s in too deep. There were a few plot points that I was still a little unsure about but for the most part, this book was great in terms of pace and suspense.
