Any book where mature women exact revenge is right up my alley. I loved this dark revenge suspense book, and though I hated the end, that didn’t detract from my love of the characters, the writing, and the overall vibe.

This one really hit the spot in terms of what I was looking for. It had a serious, dark tone instead of a light, sarcastic tone. It was a bit slow to pick up - things don’t really get started until about 25% into the book. But once it gets started it’s a good page turner. I guessed some of the final events of the book, but that’s okay. I’ve read a lot of books, so it’s hard for one to really surprise me. I will check out more by this author!

I thought the premise for this book was great and after the story got going, I thought it was really good. However, I didn’t think the Luke character was necessary and the end of the story just fell flat for me.

The Collective delivers what we want from a thriller: fast pace, mystery, fear, and well-executed twist.

None of these monsters are evil. It's the evil of other that makes them powerful. Beaten down by the world, shunned, robbed of what they love, they don't curl up and die. They don't apologize. They fight back.

The Collective is a sly thriller that goes in depth of the mind of a grieving mother. Morals and ethics are at cross roads, where an "eye for an eye" is taken quite literal.

Camille is a mother who had to bury her daughter. Cam is grieving and fragile with the only close person to her is the man who has her daughters heart after a transplant. She joins a support group, but not like any regular support group. They offer support in a less than therapeutic way.

I definitely didn't have the same ending in mind - there's no happy ending for Camille. I really liked this book and the concept, but it kind of fell flat for me. Some of the plot didn't make much sense - especially with the social media part and then a semi easily accessed group on the dark web.
