Fun little short story! A lot of information is provided for such a little amount of words! I’d read an entire novel set up like this. Solid 4 stars!

This is a short but powerful story. Jack Coxall is an author on my radar.

Short, sad, and to the point.
Pretty much what I said in the title. It was intriguing and made me think about what I would write if I could document my last moments. Looking forward to Wye and more by the author.

interesting read
Enjoyed reading this short. Would have been good if slightly longer but then again maybe that would have taken away from it. X

Loved this short read!! Honestly only picked it up for ABC challenge and it was free on Amazon. Wish it was a bit longer!

X by Jack Croxall is a Dystopian Zombie Horror short story.
For how short this story is, I really cared about the main character who calls herself ‘X’. We have found her diary and read about what has happened to her after the apocalypse, up to the point when we found it.
This was intriguing and “fun”, a great read as I was waiting for a meeting to start. I didn’t expect for this to actually be a page-turner and hit so hard.
4 stars!

Quite a good wee short story. I will definitely be checking out what else is available by Jack Croxall at some point.

Short but powerful
I liked this short story, though I mainly only picked it up to complete an ABC reading challenge, there is very little I can say without essentially telling you the whole book, what I will say is that this book managed to make me feel for the character in such a small space of time, what other books would take hours of reading to achieve.

"If you've found my diary and you're reading this, who are you? Another survivor, of course, but how have you managed to go this long without being killed or whatever?"
I wish this story was longer. I'm not sure what it was - the writing style, the voice of the writer X...all of it worked for me and I really enjoyed this. I'd love to read the story of who found her journal and continued with "their" story.
