Ten-year-old Bronte Mettlestone faces a long journey and a deliciously complex mystery, and readers of all ages will laugh at her wacky adventures and cheer her on! This is one of the cleverest, silliest, most exceptionally fun books I've read this year! Read it!

The book started off rather slow, and it had a tendency to narrate every moment, which felt a little bit tedious a lot of the time. After we were about a quarter of the way end of the book, my daughter was not especially enjoying it, so I gave her the option to stick it out and hope it got better or we would just stop, and she decided to stick it out. And now we are glad that we did, because it got better much faster. I don’t know that we will search out the next book, but by the end of this book, we were quite charmed by the whimsy of Bronte’s world.  It’s not currently an option in the moods categories, but I would say that this book is definitely for people who are feeling fanciful.
