Great end to a series. I do not remember why i only put 4 stars. This is why i need to do reviews when i'm done so i don't forget.

I really enjoyed reading the 3rd and final book of this trilogy. What I really liked was the equal footage given to all the characters. I will not say that I'm impressed with the explanation for the attack and about the 'Others' I expected a little more in that area.
I liked the consistent pace the author maintained throughout the book.
The climax was interesting, I believe it leaves room for a sequel.
Cassie's character begins as annoying as she was in the other 2 books, but surprisingly somewhere in the middle things change and she is not so annoying anymore and it gets interesting to read about her thoughts towards the end of the book.
Ringer as always is a treat to read about, so are the remaining characters like Zombie, Sam and others.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read.

Some parts were sketchy or felt brushed over but that may be the case of me revisiting the series from the the last book but made parts in the book harder to read. The characters development slightly random and odd in places but I liked the ending. Also quite an interesting insight on the view of humanity, our weaknesses as well as how the 'others' played with our thoughts. And how the waves were repeated in the base. Not as good as the first book but a good end.

This book broke my heart. So I was crying because I thought Evan was gone and then I was crying because I thought Ringer died and then I was crying because Cassie is dead and then I was crying because Evan was actually alive but Cassie thought he was dead and now she is dead and then I was crying because of baby Cassie and then I was sobbing because of Sam and how he feels.

Rick Yancy and Veronica Roth. Ripping hearts out and stomping on them since 2013.

Very disappointed with the last book in this series and questioning whether it was worth the wait. I really loved The 5th Wave and The Infinite Sea was okay but this was just a complete let down and even by seeing the size of the book I knew I was going to feel like that. Oh well, at least I know the ending... I wonder how the films will turn out.
