This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from the PR Agency in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Melissa for my copy of this book. As you probably know I am a big fan of Melissa's work and I wanted to hear Dare and Billie's story from the moment t I read the synopsis.

Billie and Dare's story put me through so many emotions. These two have been through it all and survived. It's obvious that these two are meant to be together. They have loved each other for as long as they can remember but Billie feels too guilty to act on it. This is a story of friends to lovers with a hint of second-chance love. I love that Dare is so open and honest about his feelings with Billie.

As usual, Melissa delivers a sexy but romantic read. It's about the love story and the emotions more than anything else. I can't wait to read the rest of this series.

I would have enjoyed this more if it was shorter, it felt like it dragged a lot in the middle

This book was so worth the wait. Foster hit it out of the park with Dare & Billie.

This story is filled with emotion, both happy and sad, but it made the story the ultimate second chance.

The Whiskey family is wonderful.

The Trouble with Whiskey is the first book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch. This branch of the Whiskey family was introduced in the previous Whiskey family series, and I was so excited to finally see them get their own stories. I have become such a fan of Ms. Foster’s and every one of her books become an auto-read for me. They just keep getting better and better! This heartbreaking book is Devlin “Dare” Whiskey and Billie Mancini’s story.
“I’ve been in love with you since we were six years old, when you kissed me in the barn and called me a dummy. It’s always been you, Billie”

Dare, Billie, and Eddie grew up pushing the limits with their stunts. After Eddie died, Billie stopped doing all the things she loved. Her grief and guilt had her pulling away from her family and friends. Dare had loved Billie forever and is ready for her to start living life again. Can he convince her to let go of her guilt and risk falling in love?

This was a beautiful and heartbreaking story that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. The three friends had so much history between them therefore Dare and Billie’s grief was so consuming. My heart ached for them as they grieved and struggled to find peace and a way forward without Eddie. Be prepared for all the emotions and a beautiful journey of friendship and family.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Dare has ruined me for all other book boyfriends.

I loved this story, how protective and loving that big, sexy biker is. He is a daredevil, as well as an extremely intuitive therapist, and I could not get enough of him. ⁣He protects Billie, even when she cuts him out of her life, and the things he does for her (no spoilers) are so romantic!

As for the other characters - Kenny's was one I enjoyed, though I thought he was going to frustrate me in the beginning. But he goes from this trouble-making, grumpy teenager to a mini-Dare, honestly. And both Dare and Billie's parents ... oh my gosh I loved them!⁣ Especially Tiny.

I really liked how this book tied into Then Came Love and I can't wait to see what happens or for more Redemption Ranch. I'm especially eager to see how things turn out for Cowboy!

Pure perfection

The Dark Knights and the Whiskeys score a perfect 10 again! If you haven’t read any of the other series, you won’t feel lost at all, but they’re so good you will want to. Everything about this family and their club is beautiful and amazing. They are some big tattooed rough looking bikers on the outside, with hearts of gold and honor on the inside, and a commitment to serving and helping others. This series takes place on their Redemption Ranch, which is amazing.

Billie and Dare have grown up together and along with their friend Eddie were the Daredevils. The three musketeers who seemed to have no fear and were wild and reckless. They terrified their parents most of the time, but their parents supported their wildness and did the best to keep them safe while letting them run free.

Six years ago, Eddie died in a tragic accident and all their lives were changed. Billie shut out everyone, and closed herself off to all her adrenaline seeking ways. She became a shell of herself. Dare has loved her all his life, and it’s finally time she lets him back in.

I love everything about this story. There is so much emotion. So much heartache, but also so much beauty. Billie goes through so much to find her way back, and realizes that by shutting out everyone she’s not only shut out the pain but all the goodness and happy memories too. I love Dare, and how he is absolutely 100% committed. He is determined to help her heal and win her heart, even before he knew that he had it all along. This whole family is amazing, and I can’t wait to read the next story.

This is my first Melissa Foster book. I loved it. I didn't really know what to expect from the story or author. I like her story telling. She does a great job of telling you things that happened in the past to how the characters are they way they are in the now.
I can't find the words to describe Billie and Dare. They are unpredictable. I love the Redemption Ranch and everything that they do. I can't wait to read more from this series.
