For such a short story, The Little Prince is incredibly sad and touching. Way beyond a children's read I think.

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”
All that's really need is some quotes.

More like 3.5… What an interesting choice for a book for children… it was strange, and kinda sad, and the kids weren’t great fans of it overall. It was my first time reading it too, and I think I missed out on the classroom discussion of it all.
