Idk if Romantasy has ruined dark romance for me or what, but I don't think I've rolled my eyes at book do hard in my life. The only positive for me was the spice, that was great and the only reason I'm giving it two stars. Not a fan of the insta love.

School teacher swept away by mafia man. Lots of dialogue, some great dirty talk.
Everything felt a bit too fast and slightly unbelievable. Was pretty disappointed with how the relationship with fmc former fiancé ended up coming together- that story line just felt too clean.

Super spicy, dark, mafia romance. Everything it should be! I love JT Geissinger.

The story Of Natalie and Kage/Kazimir kept me turning the pages. Natalie is a middleschool art teacher. He comes to her small town and buys the house next door. It’s obvious from the get go that he’s dangerous and there for some ulterior motive. It’s pretty much Instalove for both. Natalie was left at the altar 5 years ago by her disappearing fiancé and still hasn’t quite got over it. Kage is mafia but why is he in her small town on Lake Tahoe? There’s so many laughs in this book. Natalie always has a good comeback to her head over heels guy. There’s smut to be sure but a really good love story too.

I enjoyed this! It was a bit of a slow start for me, though, but the ending was explosive and unexpected. It was definitely worth the buildup.

I loved Kage’s character. He was so assertive and unrelenting, and Nat brought out all of the emotions that he had buried for so long.

I appreciated Nat’s backstory, but I felt like she didn’t really have much of a personality. Something felt missing. But I really loved Sloane, she was so badass. I can’t wait to see how she deals with Declan!

The flow of plot and conversation was bad, I genuinely cannot  continue through with this one.

One minute she cannot get over her love and the second she’s mad at the new guy for wanting to have a secret relationship.

They are having a conversation about why they shouldn’t being associated with each other because of the cops and then he randomly mentions he cannot have kids, in such an awkward way.

 As for now dnf @39%
