EN: For Halloween, I kept the tradition of choosing a story that fitted this date. So it was time for "Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (1886), by Robert Louis Stevenson.

The story follows lawyer Mr. John Utterson as he unravels the mysteries that'd been surrounding his childhood friend, Dr. Henry Jekyll, when a gruesome, enigmatic name crawls into his testament – Mr. Edward Hyde. Utterson, then, goes on to investigate the matter and tie its lose ends, hoping to protect Dr. Jekyll from scandal and deception.

Being a well-known tale, the story, while interesting, wasn't what hold my attention – but the way it was told, which presented me to the perspetive of discrete, but straightforward Mr. Utterson, and how it changed the idea I had of the book. So, it felt more like an exploration of its structure, possibilities and stylistic choices. Similarly to what I felt with "The Island of Dr. Moreau", it'd have been wonderful if "Jekyll & Hyde" had been developed as a novel. Maybe I'll leave the idea in the air...
