The book wears its age on its sleeve, and the technobabble rarely lets up, but there's some great ideas explored here. Hinterlands was the best.

Some were more successful than others - I particularly liked The Belonging Kind, The Hinterlands and The Winter Market, but it was also fun to see more into the Sprawl universe (big-up Molly Millions).

It's Gibson in bite-sized pieces. What more do you want? It doesn't get much better than these cinematic, twisted, and prophetic tales.

These stories are great. Each is long enough to be fleshed out, but most are still shorter than I would like. There is more variety than you might expect if already familiar with the cyberpunk of The Sprawl (but those technologies and companies are still around). The cosmonaut was probably my favorite of the bunch, immediately immersive and engaging. Too bad I'll forget most of these like I always do with short story collections.

It was okay, I guess. Most of the short stories were pretty forgettable, the few I really liked would have been nicer if they were not so short.

Burning Chrome (the short story) is better than Neuromancer in my opinion
