As a black, fat woman Roxane went through a looooooot. Our society is so fatphobic, so obsessed with wanting women’s physical forms to be small! Not just for attractiveness sake, but to disappear. To take up less space, as she puts it.
There’s 1 million true statements made about feminism, sexism, fatphobia, racism, etc. made in this book it’s impossible to write them all down. I feel like I learned a lot, and I will suggest this book to anyone and everyone that has a body.

This is a really heavy book - it's worth checking out other reviews and trigger warnings before jumping in because there were definitely times that I had to put it down for a bit before continuing. Still a great read and I look forward to reading more.
