After giving Evermore a rating of 2 out of 5, you'd think I would drop the series and get on with my life. I didn't. I read Blue Moon right after because I was intrigued with Damen and the plot for this book. He's getting weaker, but why and how?

The book starts with Ever and Damen all lovey-dovey and happy because Dina was dead and they could spend eternity together without worrying about bad people tearing them apart. But we all know that's not the case or there wouldn't be 5 more books in the series, right?
Spoiler
So anyway, Damen has been teaching Ever the Immortal's way of life and how to control her ~*~powers~*~. But she figures she has an eternity to learn so she's been stalling the lessons. I find it funny that she's using his lust to her advantage; making him manifest a bouquet of flowers he asked her to practice on so she won't do it herself.

There's a new guy in town and Ever doesn't like him. She feels like there's something different about him but Damen seems to be fine with it so she tries to be as friendly as she can be. After a few days Damen was weaker and can't even do a simple manifestation. Ever, of course, worries and concluded that something was wrong and maybe Roman [the new guy] is behind it. But she can't prove it so she tries to figure out what's wrong with Damen by going to Summerland with Ava.

What's to like in this book? I don't know, there's no depth in it. Everyone is still shallow and useless. I did feel sad for Ever when
SpoilerDamen changed and ignored her
. And then there was the near-end part where I wanted to slap her for being so stupid. I don't like how the "fight" happened but I'm glad Damen's okay. Though the way it ended gives hope for a better future? I don't know.

I did enjoy this book, but not quite as much as the first one in the series. I'll be honest, ever really annoyed me in this book. She was so wishy-washy and couldn't decide what she wanted to do. Also trusting people that she knew she shouldn't trust. What is the point of being a mind reader if you can't figure out your own mind. Overall, it was a cute easy read and I do enjoy the story and the characters overall but I wish more effort had been made to a cohesive storyline instead of just willy-nilly making everyone a bad guy.

Uhm, excuse me? How are we just going to end it like this? It's as if Noel got bored of writing the story and just made shit up and stopped. Not a bad story mind you; just frustrating.

Second read through:

Ever just keeps making all these dumb decisions. It’s driving me absolutely nuts. Now I remember why I ditched this series when it came out. the constant keeping damen apart from ever just gets annoying and i’m sure this is what the rest of the books will be too.

there have been some interesting twists and turns and I am reluctantly moving on to the next book.

This book had me on the edge wondering what in the world was going on. I mostly wanted to strangle Ever very badly. Especially at the end of the book. You dumb ass, this boy who you KNOW has been ruining your life, trying to kill your eternal love and everything. I mean really?! The minute the creepy twin mentioned your sister Riley something should've clicked. Now you can't even kiss your love. And I can understand her making the choice of going for her family, especially after she learned that it wasn't her fault like she thought. But Riley was right, they were destined to die, she wasn't. Idiot. Can't wait to see how this dilemma is resolved.

Now that Ever is Immortal she has to figure out her powers. But, Damon's seem to be waning and he's acting strange, but then so is the whole school. I found the sequel to be fairly annoying.

I thought it would be better. Such dissapointment. I mostly skimmed thorough this book. Basically, it is a lesson, I shouldn't read next books in the series I liked two years ago.
