A little change from Isis and politics to Russia and politics. Perhaps a bit heavy on the politics. Still plenty of Rapp even though side characters were featured more.

New author captures the character of Mitch Rapp well.

George Guidal is excellent as always.

Mills has done a nice job carrying on the Mitch Rapp stories for Vince Flynn - another good one!

We are once again transported to the world of Mitch Rapp. It’s the same Rapp as Flynn’s but evolving with the world that continues to march forward though Flynn has left us. Rapp was to great a character to let lie when Flynn left us far too early and Mills has done a good job in picking up where he left off.

I’m SO glad to have George back reading.

Good read but maybe too grand a story in too short a time

There's a big concept here and a big story but I feel like the book was a little underdeveloped. I feel like if this was a Clancy book it would've been 900 pages and fully fleshed out.

As a major Vince Flynn, Mitch Rapp fan, I was very disappointed in this book.

I would say 50% of this book is about Azarov, who previously was a former (and post-Flynn) adversary, then briefly a cohort, of Rapp. Now he is a worn-down (?) sidekick of Rapp and the U.S. as he plots revenge against the president of Russia.

40% is about said Russian president and his health problems.

10% is solely about Rapp.

If someone asked me which book to read regarding Rapp, this is the last one I would recommend. I would say to read the actual Flynn books and ignore Mills’ attempt to continue the series.

I had read a couple of Mills’ books prior to this, so I know he can write. I just wish (now) the Rapp series was left alone.

Despite that thought, I will give Mills one last shot at getting it right. If he continues on the current track, I will have a very depressing goodbye to Mitch Rapp.

Mitch Rapp may be getting older but he's hardly slowing down. Forced to team up with former enemies he's tasked with saving the world...again.
