I have always been a fan of bully turned romance. Add in the Academy setting, makes it even better!!!
Love the strength of Scar, the first chapter made me a little nervous that she wasn't going to have a back bone... but boy was I proven wrong! She is a strong FMC!
Crew just needs to find his place, and with Scar of course!
Neo still is just angering me, but we always need one of those!
Then Jagger, right in the middle. Love/hate relationship.
I can't wait to read what happens in Vicious Lies!!

savage situation

The cover is so hawt and the blurb definitely catches your eye. Three guys and one girl with some bully romance.

What did I like? I like jealous OTT males in what feels like a reverse harem with a twist. My first by this author and it sucked me in. I already received a ARC if the second book so I had to go back and read the first. Loved it!

Would I recommend or buy? Im definitely going to be reading more and if the second book is as good I might binge all the books! Five stars. I enjoyed it!

I think I would be a little lost if I didn't read the prequel, but at the same time I feel like I'm drawing theories and conclusions from the little things we know from Darkest Desires.
Scarlett is a great FMC, she doesn't take shit from anyone(well most of the time anyways) and I love that she didn't become a doormat in this book, of course every badass FMC needs a few alphaholes and Crew, Jagger and Neo are just that, being that they all have a history with her makes this book so much more interesting.

I love me a good bully romance especially if it's in an academy setting. I read this entire series in one day, it was that good. I loved learning the history between Scarlett and the guys, and her new friendship with Riley and Elias. In this book, there are two POV's and that's Scarlett and Crew, since this first book focuses on their relationship.

This book is about Scarlett Sunder and her guys. Scarlett is the daughter of Kol and Luna, who were in the previous novella (the novella is not necessary to read, but it does give you background into the plot that plays on later in the series). She's born into a family where they are in 'The Blue Blood Society.' She grew up with her guys Crew, Neo, and Jagger who are also in the same society. She was best friends with Neo's sister, Maddie until her accident. Neo always hated Scarlett and forced the other guys to follow suit, even Crew who had a relationship with Scarlett. Despite their history, these guys treated her like shit, even before she transferred to the academy. Like it was no joke. But Scarlett didn't cower away from their treatment, she pushed and fought back. The guys are known as 'The Lawless' and they rule the school. Not just in a popular kind of way, they turn the other students into their servants and will humiliate them to no end if they go against them. All of the students have to play games or tend to The Lawless at their beck and call, in order to climb the hierarchy at the school. Unfortunately for Scarlett, she also has to participate in either the games or become their servant. Not only is she participating, but they also make her games more personal. Through all of this, Scarlett begins to rekindle her relationship with Crew because he can't bring himself to hate her. And not only does Scarlett have to deal with her childhood friends bullying her, but she also has a stalker.

Favorite quotes/scenes:

-"Oh my god, Crew. Your heart is beating so fast."
" You do that to me, Scar. My heart beats faster. My knees go weak. Sometimes I forget to even breathe when you're around."
"It's singing to me. Mine sings for you, too, Crew. It shouldn't, but it does." (Flashback with Crew and Scarlett)

-"You make me crazy, Scar. If I'm not with you, I can't eat, I can't sleep. You consume my every thought."
"How about this? After you graduate from The Academy and I finish public school, if you still love me, we'll go as far as you wanna go."
"If? I'll never stop loving you, Scar. You're the reason I even go on in this fucked-up world." (Another flashback)

-" A couple of hours ago, I thought I'd be lost forever in those woods. Now, I think I've officially lost my mind because Jagger Cole just gave me butterflies."

"You are a dirty-talking whore, you know that?"
"Only with you." (Crew and Scarlett)

-"What's this tattoo mean?"
"It's Latin for, with you, I am me. "
"What am I going to do with you, Crew Vance?"
"Let me be me, because you're the only one I can be myself with."

It felt like the plot from one chapters there are skippedoment that the readers didn't get to see so it felt kind of ridiculous
