The writing style is easy to comprehend, with explanations of confusing terms and a structure that is broken up on the page to allow for concentration breaks.
As well as giving you information, you get personal insights from the authors themselves and exercises to try to help you comprehend the material further.
I would recommend this text to anyone, especially if they are interested in sex and relationships as a topic; it will aid you in understanding polyamory as well as your own self and identity within romance and sex.
Graphic: Infidelity, Pregnancy, Abortion, Rape, and Sexual content
Moderate: Alcoholism, Sexual assault, Alcohol, Acephobia/Arophobia, Transphobia, Sexual violence, Dysphoria, Drug use, Homophobia, Sexual harassment, Sexism, Lesbophobia, Biphobia, and Drug abuse

For people who are more knowledgeable about nonmonogamy this book may not provide you with deeper insights, as it mostly acts as a primer for people who want to pursue or are new to polyamory. However, it's very good for those who don't have an idea of where to start.
Moderate: Sexual content
Minor: Sexual assault, Sexual violence, and Rape

I read the 3rd edition.
There was some bits not relevant to me; childbearing etc - so I just skipped those.
Appreciated the glossary and further reading pages.
Although it did include acespec identities there was still a heavy focus on sex. Which is fine but something to bear in mind when reading.
Minor: Sexual content, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual harassment, and Abortion
