This book has shown that even the incorruptible superhero like Superman can be tainted just by one bad day just like Joker.
Now Superman is going to rule the world.
Now we will get to see how Batman will handle this changed Superman??

Amazing book!!!

Praising of man over superman - Batman being the higher moral option than the most popular do-gooder hero of them all. Intriguing graphic novel and not bad to look at either. But the whole of it left a sour after taste with the role handed down to Wonder Woman in this story. I'll say it again greatest sins are not made by man...they are reserved for fairer sex.

Comics that try to play with the status quo can often feel forced or gimmicky. That this is a prequel/tie-in for a video game means the odds were stacked against it.

But it's good! It's believable, the shocks are shocking, the drama feels real, the characters are acting in believable ways, despite varying pretty far from the DC Universe we're used to. I hope they can keep this up as the series continues.

This is some seriously dark, but well written, DC stuff here.
I was initially drawn in because of the Video Game of the same name, but the story in the game is no where near as intense and big as this version is. Such a great story, and such great work with the characters. In a time where they made a Batman Vs. Superman, this would have been better source material than what they had used.
This is definitely a great story-line, with believable actions and reactions from your favorite characters, and not shy from bringing death into the tale either. Quite a few characters meet their demise within the first section alone, which becomes the catalyst for the entire tale.
Worth the read if you are a DC fan, and this has been added to my 'to buy' list.

So, we have a tie-in to a popular video game. I wouldn't blame you if you passed over this book based on that alone. Some positive reviews made me give it a whirl, and boy am I glad I jumped on board. They take the story of the DC Universe basically signing up with either Superman or Batman and gave it a compelling backstory. If I hadn't read Flashpoint, this would be my #1 DC graphic novel, and I have read some gems.

This series is really dark, it starts with Superman finding out that Lois Lane is pregnant and Joker uses kryptonite in Scarecrow's venom to make Superman think that Lois is Doomsday which leads to him sending her into space-when her heart stops, she detonates a missile that blows up all of Metropolis; this kills 5 million people of Superman's home. He and Batman choose different sides of a war on war. Superman calls for a world-wide cease fire but forces politicians and world leaders into listening to him. He teams up with Wonder Woman and the two seem more like dictators rather than trying to help. Batman wants to help Superman and allow him to grieve, but he can't while Superman and Wonder Woman are doing more bad than good. Batman must get a group of superheroes to help fight against Superman and his team.

This storyline takes place BEFORE the Injustice game, and as someone has not played the game nor kept up with the comics, I was a little lost, but with some context clues, it wasn't hard to follow. My only problem was with the heroes that I was less familiar with. At one point, it shows Batman's son being killed, but in my ignorance, I did not know that Batman had a son, so that was hard to follow. If you're into dark superheroes and a much more mature story line than the movies we've grown up with, this was agreat graphic novel to read. Definitely not for children.

This was the best written trade I've read from the Big Two in a long time. Solid, solid writing. Really great character use. Harley Quinn's lack of clothing was ridiculous at times but her back and forth with Green Arrow was brilliant. I did not see the end coming the way it did even though someone had told me part of it. I am excited to see how this plays out.
