It's more of a 3.5 star, but I was feeling generous. It's interesting to see the behind the scenes of Andy's life. I've always liked him and love Bravo for escapism television.

Superficial: More Adventures from the Diaries of Andy Cohen
I Picked Up This Book Because: Library book due.
Media Type: Audiobook
Source: HC Public Library
Dates Read: 6/13/23 - 6/19/23
Stars: 3.5
Narrator(s): Andy Cohen
The Story:
Andy’s life is exhausting. The sheer number of activities he participates in in a day wears me out just hearing them. Although he has a busy life, he seems to have a fun life too. I found this book a little too long. I’m not sure what stories he could have cut and now I’m wondering what he actually did cut because we did not get a true daily accounting but anyway while I was entertained, I did feel like it went on a bit too long. His stories about Wakka make me second guess adopting a dog. Wakka deserves and has a loving home but some of his triggers causing him to bite people scare me. I also know he is sweet and loving 97% of the time.
The Random Thoughts:
I just googled “Brazilian Andy Samburg” and no title has ever been so accurate.

I was feeling a bit tired of podcasts. This was a great reprieve.

If loving Andy Cohen is wrong, then I don't want to be right. I know it's all name dropping and aspirational fabulousness and I don't care. This is my literary junk food and I take great, great pleasure in it. Whenever AC references a lunch with Hickey and SJP, all is right in the world.

This was enjoyable and dishy but I think sometimes it got repetitive. I put it down for a long time and when I picked it back up it didn't even matter if I remembered what had happened or not. Fun to peek in to the life of a celebrity, perfect for an escapist read.

I read about 75% of the book and it all felt like work. I couldn't bring myself to finish the rest. I think reading this edition of the Andy Cohen Diaries has made me like him less. Very self-involved and shallow.

I think I might be turning on Andy - this book was dull and straight up vapid. Took me months to finish, and it was a chore.

I loved Most Talkative and The Andy Cohen Diaries and have read them many times. This one I think is just as good. I love Andy's humour and ok let's just face it, his everyday life is just a little more interesting than mine at least ha ha
I can also really recommend the audiobook, Andy reads it himself, and that is the way it should be.
