This would be a great book club pick. The novel adeptly navigates complex family dynamics, attachment theory, and healthy new love.

I had a lot of fun with this, and this is the first romance I’ve really liked in a while. It’s kinda heavy but in a satisfying way. There was a lot of depth I wasn’t expecting. Justin and Emma are really sweet together.

Check trigger warnings.
Beautifully written and excellent exploration of complex topics. Multiple plot twists kept my attention, making this book a fast paced read. Not overhyped.

Another beautifully written book by Abby Jimenez. The way she has gracefully tackled mental health, grief and other big heavy topics in this series makes me speechless. The characters are lovable and relatable. And this made me cry (I don’t cry when reading often).

Since I can’t find the words to describe my love for this book, this series and this author, here are five more stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This story felt really real. Justin and Emma have a lot going on in their lives, but the paths that bring them back together and the friends that care for them so deeply really set this world into motion. I found myself going “Aww cute” at so many points in this story.
The Reddit meet-cute, the pre & post date surveys, and bringing her lunch RIGHT AFTER her “mother” didn’t (!).

This was my first book by Abby Jimenez and what a cute and surprisingly emotional experience. I’ll definitely be checking out more of her work.

the best kind of love doesn‘t happen on moonlit walks and romantic vacations. it happens in between the folds of everyday life. it‘s not grand gestures that show how you feel. it‘s all the little secret things you do to make her life better that you never tell her about.

JUSTICE FOR MADDY!!
