- Long read (15+ hours)
- Gets a little dry so it is a difficult read, though there isn’t filler/unnecessary information.
- Terrific life lessons, I am in awe. My favorite parts were when he taught Goldie to read
and the ending when he was finally free. The legal scenes actually instill anger because the racism and injustice were so overt. It was impressive that he represented himself in a legal suit for his health solely from what he learned from the Black Panthers and reading. Truly forms a solid case for why prisons should rehabilitate rather than punish.
