Edit: I would like to add I do not support, like or agree with this author.
‼️ Some spoilers ‼️
Second listen of the year: 31/10/22 - 09/11/22
Amazing as always. I noticed especially in this book that while Hermione is present for a lot of scenes (pre- petrifying), doesn’t actually have any lines? Or only one or two. I know I know, I shouldn’t be surprised by this from the author but yeah only just noticed that.
- I recently saw a post from tumblr saying while it is never explicitly written that Harry was physically abused by the Dursley’s it’s expected/ understood that he is. I think that is further supported by the fact that the below happens in this book and it gives the air of this has happened before, suggesting he doesn’t normally stand his ground (that is, if the violence is even normally caused by Harry wanting something?)
- “You'll get the stuffing knocked out of you, won't you?" roared Uncle Vernon, advancing on Harry with his fist raised. But Harry stood his ground.”

The front half of this book was a little slow for me, but once I hit the 50% mark, I flew through the back half.
