Honestly, this feels like a watered down version of Lisbeth. I tried so hard to like this trilogy because I am a huge fan of the original. It just feels like something is missing.

A surprisingly comparable book to the Stieg Larssen Millennium series. More Mikael Blomkvist than Lisbeth Salander but still a very complex story with lots of technical aspects, reminiscent of the original series. Overall pretty good. (But definitely missed Lisbeth's perspective. The parts dedicated to her felt more like someone observing her rather than we were hearing her actual voice/thoughts.)

4th Millennium book. Lagercrantz does an ok job of taking over from Stieg Larsson with a interesting enough story about AI, savants and home violence. What annoyed me after a while was how everybody thought that Blomqvist and Salander were so perfect, that they could do no wrong.

It's not Steig Larsson but....nice return of well loved characters as well as one unexpected one. Some of the writing was a little wooden but overall I enjoyed the plot.

Doesn't feel right. Too simplistic, convenient, contrived - at least compared to the previous books. Describes the events of one week in excruciating detail over the course of 400 pages. Blomkvist and Salander are each blown up and made out to be some kind of superhero. As its own separate entity it would've made a decently good thriller, but it doesn't really compare to the Millennium Trilogy.

Rest in peace, Larsson.
