Magical Readathon: New To School - The Novice Path & Character Creation

Overview
WELCOME!
This is a readathon to start a character for the Magical Readathon as was made by G from Book Roast on YouTube. All the prompts and content are hers. This challenge works as a starter kit for people who want to catch up.
HOW IT WORKS
This challenge has 2 main components: Character Creation and The Novice Path. Both components are required for this challenge.
Character Creation includes selecting your province and your heritage. There is a bonus prompt for selecting your background, but it is not required to complete this challenge.
The Novice Path is the readathon itself. Technically, in order to complete The Novice Path you only have to complete two prompts (aka read two books). But what’s the fun of starting without a character? :) That’s why I’m combining them here.
Here is the official description of the Novice Path: “To prove yourself on the Path, you must showcase exceptional skill or wit on at least two occasions. Meaning, that out of the challenges listed, you must complete two prompts to successfully reach the Orilium Academy. Of course, if you have the wish or capacity, you can always aim for more! Each prompt requires a separate book.”
IN SUMMARY
The challenge as put together here includes selecting your Province and selecting your Heritage, as well as Occasion One and Occasion Two on The Novice Path. All four prompts must be completed. There is a bonus prompt for Background that is not required. There are no dates attached to this challenge but traditionally it would be accomplished in 4 weeks.
DON’T FORGET!
It is while your character travels The Novice Path and encounters trials that their traits begin to show! (Think Hogwarts Sorting Quiz.) Every week of the challenge an obstacle arises that your character must face one of four ways. At the end of the 4 weeks, you find out which Magical Guild your character is most suited for. You can find those obstacles in the “Path Story” posted by Book Roast in the open access google drive. I have also made a Google forms “quiz” that you can also use to read through the narrative and answer your questions. It is still in essence a manual quiz though (you’ll have to keep track of your answers to compare at the end). The google forms is just for ease of access and reading.
