Guidelines
⦁ Extreme Book Nerd Challenge runs January 2, 2023, through December 16, 2023.
⦁ One category per book for a total of 50 books in 50 weeks, to be read by December 16, 2023.
⦁ All books for the Challenge need to be recorded in your Extreme Book Nerd reading log with the title, author, and date finished for each book listed in each category.
⦁ To be rewarded for finishing the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge, you must return to the library and have a library staff member sign off on your completed categories in your Extreme Book Nerd reading log. You can do this daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly!
⦁ We will have a quarterly check-in night where you can come get your reading checked off and compare books with other Book Nerd Challengers!
⦁ Books from other reading programs and book clubs can be counted toward this challenge as long as they fit into one of the categories (i.e., summer reading programs, winter reading programs, book clubs, school assignments, etc.) and are read by December 16, 2023.
⦁ Audiobooks can be counted towards the challenge.
⦁ Books must be YA/teen fiction level or higher to be counted toward the challenge. Use your best judgment. You can check the reading level by using the Scholastic Book Wizard tool.
⦁ Any prizes that may be given out for challenge completion will only be given to current Kuna Library cardholders in good standing.

NEW! Advanced Category Sections
⦁ Two additional sections of categories have been added, the General Advanced and Nonfiction Advanced categories.
⦁ These are to provide an additional challenge to those interested, and their completion IS NOT required to complete the challenge overall.

Completion of one or both of the Advanced Category sections, in addition to the main 50 categories, will allow participants to receive an additional prize(s).
