I am reading the most challenged books in America (according to the American Library Association) to gain a deeper understanding of the content being protested in libraries across the country. Using common sense, one can deduce that these books are challenged for their representation and discussion of LGBTQ+ and race matters, but I find it enriching to actually read through these books and discover the stories that fascists are trying so desperately to suppress.
