Overview
A forum to approach poetry in all its experimental, unconventional, and interdisciplinary beauty!
I designed these playful prompts to get myself browsing, researching, and stretching my assumptions about what poetry is or "should" be, with plenty of bonus prompts to mull over. In all of the prompts, I try to build in as much flexibility and room for creative interpretation as possible while allowing for more traditional works to count, especially when it's a classic I've never gotten around to reading. I use the phrase "a work" to mean anything you could interpret as poetry or poetry-adjacent, including an anthology, a collection of poetry, essays about poetry, or a single poem of any length.
I love anything text-image, and I've always been a big fan of illustrated books for children, so I prioritize quality and imagination over length. Please join me and share your ideas and suggestions!
