Queer Flags TBR

Overview

(While I’ve created this challenge for myself, I’m making it public so others might find it useful too. Even though it’s a chonky one.)

This challenge is meant to help tackle those ever growing stacks of TBR and making it easier to pick the next read.

This challenge is based on the cover, so it’s easy to quickly choose what’s next. While the color of the prompt should be featured prominently on the cover, it doesn’t have to be the main color.  (Imaginary bonus points if it is though!)

Color specifications in brackets such as (light) or (dark) should mostly be seen as suggestions and don’t have to be taken too much into consideration.

A lot of colors will have multiple prompts, as they appear in several flags, or twice in the same flag. I encourage you to only add books once and pick a different book for the next prompt. This is a TBR challenge after all.

While this is a queer flag challenge, your books don’t have to be queer. (Again, imaginary bonus points if they are.) Each flag has a bonus prompt for queer books.

The challenge is pretty (non)straight forward but feel free to interpret and fulfill the prompts however you like. Audiobooks, non fiction, graphic novels - all books are welcome here.

In order to keep this challenge a reasonable length, there are only a few of the many flags included. They are not meant to be seen ranked in importance. Please don’t be disappointed if your identity is not represented. There might be a second round of this challenge in the future with different flags.
