Simone de Beauvoir wrote that "no group ever sets itself up as the One without at once setting up the Other over against itself." This reading challenge is a way to introduce some othered and ignored voices into our reading. 

This is obviously not an exhaustive list of marginalised identities, just a launching point for someone looking to expand their reading (which is informed by my own subjective interests when it comes to books).
