Overview
Hello book nerds! WE ARE BACK.
I can't believe I'm once again doing this queer book reading challenge and in the fourth year now! What once started as a personal reading challenge is now a challenge for hundreds of others. So if you've joined us for the past years, thank you! And if you're here again and ready to join, I hope you enjoy another year!
So, the goal? Same as always: read books focusing on LGBTQ+ characters and stories, and share these with others. It doesn’t matter if it’s a new or upcoming release or a backlist title. As long as it highlights and/or celebrates stories and experiences from the queer community, and fits the bingo prompts, it counts!
We have a book bingo and reading template again to help with the challenge! I'm bringing back more special icons inspired by some more mythical/fantasy creatures. Plus, a few new prompts and a focus on different POC authors I haven't included before in the previous challenges! I'm excited about these, and I can't wait to see what books I (and the rest of you) end up reading!

You can mark your bingo cards and share them on your platforms, feel free to tag me on your Instagram stories! Use the reading progress template to share and recommend your recent reads. I also appreciate you sharing photos and reviews on bookstagram. Just use the hashtag #ReadQueerly2024! (This time I’m choosing “Read Queerly” as the official challenge name, so it sticks every year)
This challenge is now live on StoryGraph! Join in on the challenge and add your books to the prompts now. The challenge officially starts on January 1, 2024!
Once again, I hope this challenge helps us to read more diversely and queerly. I hope it helps uplift LGBTQ+ authors and their books, and I hope we readers find more books to cherish! See you and your queer books in 2024 💜
