Three books, one mystery, and I read them in an 18-hour span, pausing to take care of family needs and some (not much) sleep. Her books are amazing as always - the details, the plotting, the characters, the dialogue. I know I'll be thinking about aspects of these for a while (and rereading them), but for now what stands out is how consent is handled, and trust/mistrust.
And a note that this one was my least favorite of the three, b/c I really didn't like the choices presented to the characters, and so I *worried* about them, Pen most of all, and couldn't enjoy it the way I did the others.
