A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

5.0

I admit it. I read the book because of the movie hype (but couldn't get to the cinema). I was intrigued to see how the author would make a grumpy man loveable and he answered me by making me cry. This is a gentle character study where the reader is gifted an insight into how life events shape people. And that sometimes, just sometimes, they meet a kind soul who can see beneath the surface and refuses to accept face value. A warning to one and all, not to jump to conclusions.
