A Girl Named Disaster, by Nancy Farmer

5.0

It was very adventurous. I have learned a lot about bits of culture from this book and I enjoyed it very much, especially when Nhamo started telling stories. Emphasizing beliefs, the characters in the book gave much more than enough perspective on what had happened.

I picked this book at a bookstore without knowing anything about it. Once I started reading, I couldn't help but to flip pages, curious of what would happen. Nhamo's adventure is very mind-opening I couldn't believe this book is a children's literature. I had my suspicions whenever Nhamo had to do what she wouldn't have to do but her story was rough. I hadn't been in her shoes before but now I have. It was so worth it!
