The Women by Kristin Hannah

emotional reflective sad tense fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated

This was not my favorite historical fiction of hers. It almost felt more shallow? Maybe because it focused more on all the romance than I wanted it to. It also felt more repetitive than, for example, The Four Winds or The Great Alone. I always love her writing, but this isn't at the top of my list of her books. I almost gave it a 3, but her endings just get me every time. It was worth an extra star.
