Amerika by Franz Kafka

4.0

An entertaining journey of a young European immigrant's wanderings through the trials of his new life in America. Through a frustrating, and absurd, series of events Karl experiences the privileged life of a wealthy immigrant in New York, where the struggles of the working class are merely a curious backdrop to his life, to living the life of a wandering vagrant, where the business of the elite is mysterious and distant. Through these experiences, Karl learns that his freedom in America isn't truly determined by himself.
