some says this book does not feel like a young adult novel. but for me,it does. if you think about it, the book has the same elements of most popular YA dystopian books; the only difference is the setting. It was not dystopian. it was not set in the future. Syria is here. and the war is still happening.
the book does not only let me see what is going on in countries like Syria but it also made me feel the emotions of the people surviving there, their thoughts and their dreams. their hopes and their fears.
this is probably one of the most painful books i've ever read 💔ðŸ˜
with its beautifully written narrative,i keep on reading despite being too heartbroken on most parts of it.

my heart breaks for everything that has happened in this book but despite it all, one most important thing that the author never failed to reiterate throughout the story is that there is hope 💜 sometimes, hope is a dangerous thing. but for most of us, it is the only thing we hold on to,the only thing that keeps us going. 🥹💜
