Rapture by Lauren Kate

3.0

Number one: there are more than 432 pages in this book. Somebody counted wrong.

Number two: I am generously rating this book a three. There are so many things about this book that drive me insane. First of all, seriously?! This entire ordeal happened because Luce betrayed Lucifer in heaven. Again, seriously?! How do you go from "heaven is wonderful, heaven is the best, the Throne is the Almighty, blah blah blah..." to "Hey I'm Lucifer and I'm just going to fuck shit up because I want to and because the other angel who I thought loved me really doesn't, but I don't want to listen to her..."

Just.................no. On so many levels.
Number Three: The pace of this book about drove me insane. This is the FINAL book here Lauren, you don't think you could have made their pace a little bit more urgent. There were times when I was reading this and I had to put it down and leave it alone because these characters were moving like they had all the time in the fucking free world, when they really only had less than nine days to stop the whole of existence from being wiped out by Lucifer.

Number Four: I saw the word "were" placed improperly so many times, that I just wanted to take a red pen and mark up my own copy of Rapture so I wouldn't go crazy every-time I saw it. And, it was always where the word "was" was supposed to be, too.

Last of all, you really needed to explain more about Cam at the end there, Lauren Kate. Just them having a silent moment there when Cam was mentioned doesn't answer anything, actually.

Frustration run rampant, I tell you. >:(

My only hope is that her next book "Teardrop" is really good. I, also, hope that "Fallen in Love" is swell too; I haven't read it yet and I'm just goosing that's not fucked up too.
