Enemies to French Kisses by Elsie Woods

5.0

This isn't the first story by Elsie Woods that i've enjoyed laughing out loud and it won't be the last!

Laura hates Marc. They are co-workers in Paris and she thinks him arrogant and idea stealing, a hotshot womanizer. But he smells great. Still, he's the enemy. She came to Paris to make a name for herself and he will not block her professional career.
But then there's a thing with a scarf and a vespa and he ends up in the emergency room with an amnesia. She fears he hit his head real bad because he calls her "wife". Because of that, she ends up in his luxurious apartment, pretending to be his wife and feeding his cat, all for the sake of the amnesia that better be temporary.

As it turns out, things are not quite what they seem and there is more to Marc than meets the eye.

If you love romcom, workplace romance, fake relationship and forced proximity tropes then this is a story you must read. I learned it's the second book and I haven't read the first one. It can be read alone but I had so much fun, I'm going to read the first book right away. I loved miss Wood's doggy spa stories and this one is just as cute but even more laugh-out-louds and a bit cheeky. The characters are so much fun. Marc is something else and Laura is so wonderful! He never hated her, but she hates him and it's a lot of fun to discover how that is going to change. The setting in Paris is perfect of course so the Falling for Paris sweet romantic comedy series should be next on your list to enjoy. I surely did!
