Sadly, Breath of Fire fell short, compared to it's predecessor.

What did I think?
+ Strong kick-ass heroine. (You go girl)
- But on the other hand, in every mission no matter how much Cat tries, in the end always the Gods save the day. I would have liked to see her do it by herself for once.
+ Sizzling passionate love story.
--- Maybe too passionate? They have sex all the time, even in the most inappropriate moments. I know Breath of Fire is fantasy romance genre, but they had sex so much, it can easily be filmed as porno movie.

Breath of Fire was not bad, but it didn't live up to my memories of [b:A Promise of Fire|27015399|A Promise of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles, #1)|Amanda Bouchet|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1470238554s/27015399.jpg|47064525]. Too many near-death experiences and sex scenes, made it seem like a cheap fun, not like anything with deeper meaning or content. Maybe I was just not in a mood for 'fast food' novel?
