Philomel Cottage was the stand out here. Genuinely enjoyed it and the story stuck in my mind after reading, just pondering the reliability of the narrator.

The Second Gong was definintely improved upon in the novella, Dead Man's Mirror. The pacing was just a bit too fast in The Second Gong here which left zero time to really get into it.

A good number of the stories involve
elements of cons/conmen
which I found entertaining. I saw some of them coming but in at least one specific instance I found myself delighted by the ending
you thought you had it all figured out didn't you. Nope, you are even worse off now you dumbass and if you just sat there and ate your food you'd have been rich in two months you buffoon.

A good mix of fun mysteries and just a bit too short stories.
