I don’t know about anyone else but if Cora wrote a shopping list I’d read it but this has to be her best work so far.
Gideon Masters bought Jack Morris’s company to avenge his late father and he had plans for the poor little rich boy Mitch who now works for him. However when he got to know Mitch he realised he wasn’t who he thought he was he was a sad broken man and he wanted to fix him so badly.
We all saw how toxic Mitch has been towards his brothers  in the previous books his homophobic slurs were so vile you couldn’t help but hate him.
After what Mitch did and said you’d think there would be no way he could redeem himself but he does and oh how my heart hurt for this poor broken man.
I can count on one finger how many books I have cried at but I found a stray tears trying to escape reading this ( I’ll blame being ill with covid for it 😆)
Mitch’s redemption arc was perfectly perfect helped along by a few familiar faces from previous books and few faces you won’t be expecting and if you are like me you will be shouting omfg I didn’t see that coming at that point .
This is my most favourite of Cora’s books and I can’t wait for the audiobook and I promise not to hold the tears back listening to it.
