One of the very first apocalyptic books, which I read at a fairly young age...somewhere between 10 and 15. Looking back now, I think it was this and then [b:The Last Book in the Universe|924194|The Last Book in the Universe|Rodman Philbrick|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1179502877s/924194.jpg|1220077] that sparked my interest in this genre and brought me to where I am today.
Recommended to everyone and anyone of any age. Although it is a young adult book, the subject matter is both deep and subtle and is perfect for any age. One of my closest friends read it at my behest at age 20 and greatly enjoyed it. 5 stars!
