Monkey taming, by Judith May Fathallah

This book was very moving and insightful. Jessica's story was very interesting and gave real understanding into what happens inside a mental health unit. It was very upsetting when the unit became understaffed because it is a very realistic portrayal, and to think that most of the teenagers were left without any proper support was really disheartening and distressing.
The only part I did not like was the ending. The book seemed to end too fast and I would have preferred that Jessica's final steps towards recovery would be described more thoroughly; the ending did seem too rushed and less thought-through than the rest of the book.
