I very much loved this book. It was very interesting to look into the life of a pessimist. Petula is surprising interesting (in my opinion); she has a lot more depth than lead-on. I absolutely love Jacob! His humor is beautiful, and his character development is nice. All the characters in this story have very sad and traumatic pasts. Petulas hits close to home for me, and her mother's pain I can feel in my core and relate to. This book had me laughing, crying, and in awe through the whole thing. I only gave it 4 stars because the ending felt rushed with no thought. But I do recommend it.
