I Keep My Exoskeletons to Myself by Marisa Crane

5.0

A beautiful exploration of queer family and grief, with a background of dystopian fucked up world building. The writing is tender, not in the way people usually mean it, but tender like a bruise, like if you touched the pages too hard the book would flinch. It's gorgeous and painful and a book I held my breath through because I wasn't sure everyone would be okay, because grief is such a complicated animal you never know. Simply put I loved this book.
