I found it good but very slow. The plot line is interesting and holds your interest. The bouncing around between different storylines and years was done well and although it doesn’t feel chaotic when reading, it does make it feel like they are embers in the book keeping the fires burning. Whether this was the purpose of not, it’s clear the author knew exactly what they wanted to portray and put their entire selves into creating it rather than using their words. You can tell there are so many small intentional details throughout. I want to give a higher rating for the writing and story development but this is a book I’m glad I read once but wouldn’t want to read it again (which is odd for me)
Moderate: Infertility, Kidnapping, Abortion, and Classism
