The writing quality of this book was stunning. The way Smith plays with words throughout was so engaging and fun. I found this book to walk such a unique line of exploring both hope and hopelessness, and how they coexist. The one negative for me was the pacing. While the slow pacing made sense for the book, I found it to be so slow that I would avoid picking up the book to read it; once I did, I really enjoyed what I was reading. I found that difficult to do with how slow the pacing was.
