This was awesome! I didn't really have any expectations going in, but coming out, just woah! Definitely a book I would've loved when I was younger! Full of action, just awesome. Lots of different POVs, looking at the way character's paths cross, the results of some people's actions on others, different people's opinions on the same event, things like that. If I was Dan, I'd be disgusted having

all of those rats all over me in the crawl space, and being locked in that cellar filling with water.

I'd be freaking out! But I'm pleased that

Dan met Vicky, the girl from the train station, again at the end.

And I'm surprised that

Dan actually cut open one of the criminal's handcuffs. I like how that connected together.

I'm reading the second book already and I'm halfway through. Just as good! I'm excited to read this series.
