This really got me out of a reading rut - I finished it in just over a day! The premise was intriguing (especially for being somewhat based on reality) and tapped into my fascination with anything self-sufficiency. I loved the writing style which used generally short and straightforward sentences but still with some poetic elements. The multiple POVs I liked to begin with as a great way to lift the curtain on what the main character was witnessing but I do admit towards the end I was losing interest in some and lost track somewhat of how the characters related to each other and the main plot.
